Treble Title Winners

Congratulations to Sporting RangersU14's who on Saturday 25th April won the 3rd of all 3 available cups.

The lads have won: -

  1. G.Hesketh Cup
  2. The Runcorn & District FA Cup
  3. T. Humpries Cup

The latest cup was the T.Humpries Cup for which Pexhill Pumas where the opposition, and it was looking like it was their day when after 20 minutes the Widnes team found themselves 2 goals up, but yet again the Rangers lads dug deep and began to play some great football. Rangers had come from behind in the previous 2 cup finals, so they didn't panic and knew they could still win this one.

Rangers 1st goal scorer Scott Foran pulled a goal back for Rangers through a great move linking up with Matty Harrison & Sean Lott before finshing to the left of the keeper. Rangers then equalised before the end of the first half through Rangers & The League's top goal scorer "Ando" who was always dangerous when he was on the ball.

Half Time 2-2

Rangers then continued to apply the pressure in the second half seeing most of the possession, everybody on our line felt another goal coming and the lads kept giving it their all to get ahead in the game and finally with 10 minutes left we did it through a great goal from Claudio Joao who dribbed neatly through a couple of Pexhill players before placing the ball to the keepers left.

Full Time 3-2

Well Done lads - everyone of you made this win happen and added another title (5 in 2 years) to the Club's trophy cabinet !!!!!
